Raptorgeist - Heavy Metal - Within the Fury

Based out of Derby in the Midlands, this is music Forged in Metal, Fuelled by Passion. Four lifelong Metalheads on a mission to share our love of all things Metal. We started out determined to be the best support band out there - now it’s time to get serious.

Within the Fury was released in 2017. 'Powerful . . . packed with epic guitar riffs' - Sophie Sparham, Derby Telegraph. In support of this album, we had the chance to live out those dreams and support some of the biggest bands from the midlands Heavy Metal scene including Skilltron, RSJ, Taken by the Tide, 28 Double, Line of Fire, Shadow Flag, Mortishead.

The Next Chapter
We’ve been writing. We’ve been recording. We’re ready to unleash the new songs.
Our first album was a blast of riff-driven metal, a modern mix of metal, thrash and melodic death that set the tone for what Raptorgeist is all about.
Now album two is taking shape. This time, it’s all about the songs. Still ferocious, still unmistakably RG, but packed with fresh hooks, melodic moments, and a range of tempos and styles. The riffs are still front and centre, but we’ve expanded the sound and it hits harder than ever.

The Road Ahead - we're on the road right now with our Brothers in Sinners Sermon, and sharing the stage with many great bands including, Sour Tusk, Space Witch, and Master Charger.  We’ll be venturing all over the UK and we're setting our sights on Europe next. See you on the road!

We’ve already got plans for the next two albums:
Album 3: a full-on thrash assault. Remember how it felt in 1986? No? well get ready we're aiming to recreate the thing that should not be.
Album 4: might be a progression, a dive into the depths of Progressive Metal. I'm thinking big, maybe a space opera!

Why? Because we live it and we want to share it with you.  Our mission is to deliver and expand on that first promise, to be the best band you’ve ever seen. We're here to turn up, lock in, and blow the roof off every venue, every time.

Ambitious? Maybe. But that’s what living the dream means.
So come live it with us.
